A compilation of the data obtained during the field studies to understand the influence of different irrigation tapes; achieve ferti-irrigation efficient water-nutrients management in conventional cultivation, in soil; maintain the water only in the plant’s root zone and avoid any water with nutrients leaching.
4 soilless cultivation systems in real field condition - no water recirculation, recirculation without disinfection, recirculation with oinized oxygen and recirculation with ozone – are considered in order to find the best solution with respect to crop performance and water and nutrients recovery. Expected benefits from the application of electrodialysis to prevent Na+ accumulation are also discussed. The results show that it is possible to reduce by over 40% the water consumption maintaining the same fruit quality (weight, firmness and Brix grade) and yield (early production, first production, second production, total production)
